To fund the production of "Through Button Eyes", Placer Gold Writers Ink launched a crowd-sourcing Kickstarter.com campaign that generated pre-sales and donations to cover the expenses of publishing. Much of the money was raised by tapping generous family members, friends and business acquaintances who bought a copy of the book or made a pledge.
